Prohibition of Through Traffic
Date of Order: 24 April 2017
Coming into force: 2 May 2017
This Order is being introduced because of storm drainage & foul connection works which are anticipated to take 10 days to complete.
The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in that part of Thorney Leys at the southeast point where it forms a T-junction onto the main through road (between houses 406 & 509).
Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.
Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works.
The alternative route for traffic is via Thorney Leys northeast access road.

Temporary Road Closure – at Witney, Thorney Leys
A request has been received from Milbrooke Construction for a temporary road closure to apply to a section of Thorney Leys (section of road between 406 & 509), whilst essential drainage works are carried out.
A Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (TTRO) is being made to implement the temporary closure and will operate from 2 May 2017 for 10 days.
Notice of intention to make the Order will be published in the local press.
A copy of the drawing showing the extent of the closure and also the alternative route for traffic is attached.
