Investing in Our Young People – Witney Town Council Relaunches Youth Services Grant

Following the positive impact of last year’s scheme, Witney Town Council is excited to bring back its Youth Funding Grant for 2026-27. Developed in collaboration with local groups, organisations, and residents, the grant responds to the ongoing need to bridge gaps in youth provision across the town, with a total of £20,000 available to support local initiatives that enhance opportunities for young people of all ages and backgrounds.

Last year’s funding supported valuable projects and activities for young people across Witney, highlighting the importance of continued investment in youth provision and community-led opportunities.

The Town Council recognises the importance of offering young people access to a wide range of activities and services to support their development, help them build fulfilling lives, and provide them with safe, welcoming spaces. This grant aims to address current gaps in services, encourage participation in a variety of activities, and ensure that the voices of young people are heard and supported through the Witney Youth Council.

Witney Town Council is committed to working alongside young people, their families, and community organisations to help shape a brighter future for youth in our town. This initiative also supports the desire of local young people to have more places to go and things to do—whether it’s through play, creative activities, or new and engaging opportunities.
