Our play areas are designed for children of all ages – with accessible and inclusive play equipment across many sites.

Note: The Madley Park play area is managed by West Oxfordshire District Council.
💦 Splash Park at The Leys
The Leys Splash Park is now closed for the season (from Monday 8th September).
Reopening dates will be announced in spring.

Burwell Recreation Ground (QEII Field in Trust)
The Burwell Recreation Ground play park is a playground set within a larger recreation ground. It’s located on Thorney Leys in west Witney, next to Burwell Hall and football pitches.

King George IV (Newland) Recreation Ground (Field in Trust)
The King George IV Recreation Ground play park is a small neighbourhood playground set within a sports field in the Newland area of Witney. It sits inside a larger recreation ground used mainly for football and informal outdoor activities.

The Leys (Centenary Field in Trust)
The play park at The Leys (Centenary Field in Trust) is the largest and most feature-packed playground in Witney, sitting within the town’s main recreation ground near Station Lane. It’s designed as a full adventure play area plus splash park with activities for toddlers, older children, and families spending a whole afternoon outdoors.

Eton Close
The Eton Close play area is a small community playground set within a green space in the Cogges/Eton Close residential area of Witney. It sits beside open grass and a small pitch in the local neighbourhood, making it handy for families living nearby.

Fieldmere Close
The Fieldmere Close play area is a small neighbourhood playground tucked within the residential streets of the Fieldmere Close area of Witney. Surrounded by housing and nearby green space, it provides a convenient outdoor spot for local families and children to play close to home.

Moorland Road
The Moorland Road play area is a neighbourhood playground in the Moorland Road area of Witney, offering equipment including swings, a slide and climbing features for toddlers and juniors. It was recently updated with new play elements as part of enhancements to local parks and includes a cone‑shaped rotating climber that appeals to a range of ages.

Oxlease
The Oxlease play area at Wadard’s Meadow in Witney is a well‑loved neighbourhood playground set beside open fields near Cogges Manor Farm, offering equipment such as climbing structures, swings and a nest swing suitable for a range of ages. It provides a great spot for ball games and picnics as part of a larger park environment, making it popular with local families.

Park Road
The Park Road play area in Witney is a local neighbourhood playground set within the residential area off Park Road. It features an accessible swing and play panel, allowing disabled children and adults to enjoy the playground alongside other visitors.

Quarry Road
The Quarry Road play area is a small local playground in the Quarry Road neighbourhood of Witney, featuring climbing huts and play panels that offer active play for young children. Ralegh Crescent
The Ralegh Crescent play area in Deer Park, Witney has been completely redesigned with a range of slides, swings and climbing equipment following a major refurbishment based on feedback from local children. It sits within a neighbourhood green space, making it a welcoming place for families and children up to around 12 years old to play.

Unterhaching Park (Marriotts)
The Unterhaching Park play area in the Marriotts neighbourhood of Witney is a community green space that offers a relaxed outdoor setting for children and families to play and enjoy nature. Located close to local streets and walkways, it’s a convenient place for neighbourhood outdoor time and recreation. The park has seen community volunteer activity and maintenance work to enhance its paths and planting, helping make the area more welcoming and pleasant.

Woodgreen
The Woodgreen play area in Witney is a fully enclosed neighbourhood playground beside Holy Trinity Church that features a good range of equipment for various ages, from swings and springy ride‑ons to climbing structures and a multiplay system. It underwent a significant makeover in 2011 to refresh and enhance the play facilities for local children. Surrounding grassy space also offers room for running around and informal play.
