We know it’s only June, but with rain forecast this week, why not get creative and start designing a Christmas light for Witney’s festive display later this year? 🎄✨
The competition is open to:
🎨 Children attending primary schools in Witney
🎨 Primary-aged children who live in Witney
🎨 Children enrolled in Witney community groups, such as Brownies, Beavers, and similar organisations
The winning design will be transformed into a giant 1.5m x 1.5m Christmas light and displayed on Witney Town Hall as part of the town’s festive decorations. Previous winning designs that are still serviceable also continue to feature in the display.
Top tips for your design:
⭐ Fill the whole square and make your design reach the edges of the frame
⭐ Keep your design simple so it can be recreated in lights
⭐ Try something different! We already have designs featuring the Buttercross, a church and Father Christmas, so a unique idea could stand out
Entries can be submitted by email, post, or delivered to the Town Council office.
