Opening of the Newly Refurbished Splash Park

Witney Town Council is thrilled to announce the official opening of the upgraded Splash Park at The Leys! The park is now open, offering a perfect destination for all your splashing enjoyment 💧☀️

Deputy Mayor of Witney, Councillor Jane Doughty, led the opening ceremony with heartfelt thanks to families who gave their thoughts during the consultation and Ustigate, the council’s contractor. She was joined by young Rylee, who enthusiastically helped start the water features using the interactive “jump on me” button.

The Splash Park offers a wide array of features, from playful dams to exciting jets, ensuring fun for everyone. Importantly, the park is designed to be more accessible with a wheelchair-friendly start button, allowing children of all abilities to enjoy the facilities. With 5 to 6 jets operating at any given time, children can engage in energetic and varied play across different areas. It is important to note that the Splash Park will be operational only from 12PM to 6PM.

Councillor Ruth Smith, Leader of the Council, commented: “We are thrilled to bring this much loved splash park back into use in time for summer 2025. I know families will really enjoy it.”

Witney Town Council warmly invites you to bring your family and friends to experience the fun and excitement of the newly upgraded Splash Park.
