Temporary Road Closure , No Waiting and One Way Restriction – at Witney, various roads
A request has been received from Galliford Try for a temporary road closure, no waiting and one way restriction to apply to a section of various roads, whilst essential carriageway improvement works are carried out.
A Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (TTRO) is being made to implement the temporary restriction and will operate from 25 February 2026.
The estimated completion of the works is 7 September 2026. 24 hours per day.
Roads included :Market Square, Corn Street, Langdale Gate, Welch Way, Church Green and High Street
Taxi ranks East of 48 Market Square OX28 6AL will be “No Waiting” during works.
(The maximum duration of a TTRO on a road is 18 months and on a footpath is 6 months, or until completion of the works, whichever is the earlier.)
Notice of intention to make the Order will be published in the local press.
