Witney is set to host its very first Eco Fair. Supported and facilitated by Witney Town Council, this is a free event celebrating local sustainability, offering practical solutions for greener living and highlighting the positive environmental initiatives already happening locally.

Taking place on Thursday 9 October 2025, from 9:30am to 3:00pm at the Corn Exchange, Witney, the Eco Fair will bring together local businesses, charities, and community groups to share ideas, solutions, and practical advice on how residents can reduce their environmental impact and make money saving choices at the same time.
Visitors will find friendly stalls packed with eco-friendly ideas and solutions such as:
- Tips on recycling and reducing waste
- Advice on home retrofitting
- Discover active travel and greener transport choices
- Ways of caring for our countryside and wildlife
- Getting involved and volunteering with local environmental campaigns and community projects
- Reducing food waste
- Encouraging people to discover the many benefits of purchasing preloved and second hand clothing and other goods

This event promises an engaging mix of discovery, inspiration and meeting like-minded others, so please come along and see what is happening.
Cllr Sandra Simpson, Chair of Witney Town Council’s Climate and Biodiversity Committee, said:
“The Eco Fair is about empowering residents to make positive changes—whether that’s recycling more effectively, travelling more sustainably, or getting involved with local environmental initiatives. This event is a fantastic opportunity to come together as a community, learn from one another, and take action for a greener future.”
