Witney is full of vibrant community groups, events, and projects – and sometimes, a little extra support can make a big difference. Witney Town Council offers discretionary grants to help local organisations bring their ideas to life, purchase essential equipment, or run special activities that benefit the town.
We also consider requests for subsidised hire of our recreation grounds and public halls, helping make community spaces more accessible.
Applications for discretionary grant funding or subsidised use of recreation grounds or public halls are considered by the Council’s Policy, Governance & Finance Committee. A copy of the criteria used to assess applications is available in the Grant Aid Policy – 2025-26

Youth Services Grant 2025-26 – Now Closed
The Youth Services Grant for 2025-26 has now closed. This year, a total of £20,000 was made available to support local initiatives that enhance opportunities for young people of all ages and backgrounds within Witney.
The scheme aimed to fund groups and organisations providing young people with access to a wide range of activities and services to support their development, offer safe and welcoming spaces, and encourage participation in new or existing activities.
