The annual Christmas Lights Switch-On, organised by the Rotary Club of Witney, attracts thousands of residents and visitors to Market Square for an evening of festive entertainment, community performances and seasonal celebration. The highlight of the evening is the eagerly anticipated moment when Witney’s Christmas trees and festive lights are illuminated, officially marking the start of the Christmas season.
Long after the Switch-On event has ended, the Christmas lights continue to brighten the town centre from late November until early January, creating a festive atmosphere enjoyed by thousands of shoppers, families and visitors throughout the season.
Package 1: Christmas Tree Sponsorship
£1,500 + VAT per side
Showcase your organisation by sponsoring one side of one of Witney’s iconic Christmas trees, positioned in prominent town-centre locations throughout the festive season.

- Invitation for two guests to attend the Christmas Lights Switch-On event on Friday 27 November in Market Square, Witney. Guests will have the opportunity to meet the Mayor/Deputy Mayor of Witney in the Sponsors Reception Area at the Corn Exchange 1863 Café Bar, celebrate the start of the festivities with a glass of prosecco or a non-alcoholic alternative, and network with other sponsors.

- Maximum dimensions: Approximately 2000mm x 900mm
- Material: PVC or other weather-resistant material
- Fixings: Three eyelets along the top and three along the bottom, or equivalent secure fixing method.
Banner artwork and production are the responsibility of the sponsoring organisation.
Package 2: Children’s Christmas Light Sponsorship
£500 + VAT
Support one of the most heart-warming elements of Witney’s Christmas celebrations.
Each year, Witney Town Council invites local primary school pupils to design a festive Christmas light. The winning design is professionally manufactured and becomes part of the town’s Christmas lights display, proudly illuminating the side of the Town Hall throughout the festive season.
For the winning child, seeing their artwork brought to life is an unforgettable experience and a highlight of Witney’s Christmas celebrations.

Please note that sponsorship does not include promotional opportunities during the Christmas Lights Switch-On event itself, which is independently organised by the Rotary Club of Witney.
