Our play areas are designed for children of all ages – with accessible and inclusive play equipment across many sites.

    • Accessible equipment: Rocker See-Saw, Playhouse Climber, Basket Swing
    • MUGA, changing rooms, toilets (sports hire only)
    • Suitable for events and community fitness
  • King George V (Newland) Recreation Ground (Field in Trust)
    • Football pitch & play park, MUGA, play panels
  • The Leys (Centenary Field in Trust) – Flat & toddler swings, basket swing, trampoline, splash pad, log, magnifying glasses, story chair
  • Eton Close – includes Tiny Forest 🌱
  • Fieldmere Close – basket swing, rocker
  • Moorland Road – play panel
  • Oxlease – basket swing, sheep play pieces, spinning dish
  • Park Road – swings, aeroplane play piece, spinning seat
  • Quarry Road – climbing hut, play panels
  • Ralegh Crescent
  • Unterhaching Park (Marriotts)
  • Woodgreen – rockers, talk tubes

Note: The Madley Park play area is managed by West Oxfordshire District Council.

💦 Splash Park at The Leys

The Leys Splash Park is now closed for the season (from Monday 8th September).
Reopening dates will be announced in spring.


Burwell Recreation Ground (QEII Field in Trust)

The Burwell Recreation Ground play park (often called Burwell Play Park) is a fairly typical local neighbourhood playground set within a larger recreation ground. It’s located on Thorney Leys in west Witney, next to Burwell Hall and football pitches.

King George V (Newland) Recreation Ground (Field in Trust)

The King George V Recreation Ground play park (often called KGV Park by locals) is a small neighbourhood playground set within a sports field in the Newland area of Witney. Like Burwell, it sits inside a larger recreation ground used mainly for football and informal outdoor activities.

The Leys (Centenary Field in Trust)

The play park at The Leys (Centenary Field in Trust) is the largest and most feature-packed playground in Witney, sitting within the town’s main recreation ground near Station Lane. It’s designed as a full adventure play area with activities for toddlers, older children, and families spending a whole afternoon outdoors.

Eton Close

The Eton Close play area is a small community playground set within a green space in the Cogges/Eton Close residential area of Witney. It sits beside open grass and a small pitch in the local neighbourhood, making it handy for families living nearby.
